U.S. government unveils new design for the $100 note in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

Today, on April 22 in Afurja ballroom of Excelsior hotel in Baku, a presentation of the new $100 note design was held. Presentation was organized by the representatives of the US embassy in Azerbaijan.

Complete with advanced technology to combat counterfeiting, the new design for the $100 note retains the traditional look of US currency. In 2003 the round of redesigns began, when the US government introduced the redesigned $20 note, foolwed by the redesign of $50 note in 2004, $10 note in 2006 and $5 note in 2008. The new redesigned $100 note will be issued in February 2011.
