Azerbaijani President orders improvement of state telegraph agency's work

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an Executive Order on improvement of work of the country's state telegraph agency, AzerTAc.

Under the presidential order, AzerTAc will see the number of its foreign bureaus increase and the agency will also launch multimedia and video as well as German, French and Arabic language services.

The agency will also receive new headquarters. Ilham Aliyev instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to deal with the issues arising from the order.

The order stresses AzerTAc's “particular” role in disseminating rapid and efficient information about Azerbaijan and increasing the Azerbaijani society's awareness of the latest world developments.
