Iran wants to strengthen 'friendly relations' with Azerbaijan

“Iran wants to strengthen friendly relationship with Azerbaijan”, visiting head of the Iran-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Seyyid Kazim Mousavi told journalists.

Touching upon the visit, Mousavi said “we will have several meetings to discuss how to expand relations between the two countries' legislative bodies.”

On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mousavi said his country regards the dispute should be settled on the basis of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

“We consider that regional countries are capable of resolving the conflict without any external interference.”
