Week of immunization begins in Ammunization

Azerbaijan will hold the European Immunization Week from April 26 to May 2 through the European Regional Bureau of the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN Baku office reported.

The main objectives of the immunization week is to introduce new vaccines to reduce the facts of death among children due to respiratory diseases and raise public awareness on routine immunization in the field, as well as enhance controls to eliminate diseases such as rubella and measles under the UN "The Millennium Development Goals" program.

If the routine immunization fails to cover some children, the process will be continued by local health agencies.
