The flood has damaged the settlement of internally displaced persons, a temporary shelter at the Barda-Agdam roadside. Backyards of houses have completely flooded, Terter Civil Defence Headquarters Chief Ilgar Musaev said.
About 300 IDP families live in this area.
District Commission for Emergency Situations has sent crews to eliminate consequences of the flood. Fire trucks pumped out water from the backyards. Flooding of residential buildings was prevented.
Heavy rains have led to increased water levels in rivers flowing through the territory of Terter and Barda regions. At those areas, river water has eroded the coast up to 20 meters, resulting in collapsed railway leading to the quarry.
