Azerbaijan to join conventions on social protection of families bringing up sick children

Azerbaijan will join the conventions on social protection of families bringing up sick children, and protection of mothers.

"At the meeting of the Azerbaijan Parliament to be held on May 7, the country will join the conventions on the protection of families bringing up sick children, and protection of mothers," chairman of the Parliament's committee on social policy, Hadi Rajabli, told the reporters.

According to him, no employer hires people with family problems. "In this regard, these families need social protection. I believe that joining these conventions will help put an end to arbitrariness of employers," said Rajabli.

He said Azerbaijan is one of the countries that have joined the conventions adopted in the world on children's rights.
