Over 3,122 mines demined in Azerbaijan last month

Some 2,323,934 sq. m. of area was cleared from mines and unexploded ammunition in April, the ANAMA said.
The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) found and detonated 3,122 unexploded ammunition and mines in this territory. In April 4 antitank mines and one antipersonnel mine were found.

Some 425 specialists, 115 assistant staff, 6 mechanized mine clearing cars and 30 mine detector dogs took part in it. So far, 1,308,228,27 sq. m. of area was demined and 611,072 unexploded ammunitions were detonated.

The ANAMA carries out demining in Tartar, Agdam, Fuzuli, Agstafa, Gedabek and Goygol regions of Azerbaijan and in Garadagh region of Baku.
