Azerbaijani delegation attends Universal Forum of Cultures Working Group's meeting

The UNESCO Headquarters in Paris hosted a meeting of the working group to pave the way for the Universal Forum of Cultures slated for 2011 in Baku. The event brought together representatives of UNESCO, Council of Europe and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC).

Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Sevda Mammadaliyeva, Azerbaijan's diplomatic corps in France as well as the permanent representations of Azerbaijan in UNESCO and the Council of Europe joined the event.

The Azeri delegates put forward a suggestion to set up a special Culture Dialogue medal and develop a program of events related to the proclamation of Baku “Capital of the Universal Dialogue”.

The participants decided to hold the next meeting of the working group in September 2010 in Paris.
