Azerbaijani military personnel march at Victory Parade on Red Square - UPDATE - PHOTOS

The celebrations on the 65-th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War are held in Moscow today, AzerTaj state news agency reported.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participates in celebration of the Victory Day. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with Azerbaijani counterpart near the Kremlin. The main event of the anniversary celebrations was a parade on Red Square.

About 12,000 military men from Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the United States, Great Britain, France, Poland and other countries, war veterans, more than 160 units of military technique, over 120 aircrafts and helicopters took part in the parade.

The presidents of countries and heads of governments, arriving in Moscow from 21 countries, as well as heads of the international organizations, veterans of the Great Patriotic War observed the Victory Day parade from the stands.

A garland was placed at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin walls, the Alexander Garden on behalf of the presidents of countries and heads of governments after the military parade. The distinguished guests took pictures for memory.
