'Kuwait Times' publishes article 'Heydar Aliyev: Azerbaijani National Leader'

On May 6 newspaper "Kuwait Times" published an article by Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev "Heydar Aliyev: Azerbaijani national leader" on occasion of the 87-th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kuwait said.

In this article, Ambassador Abdullayev stressed that every year Azerbaijani people mark  Azerbaijani National leader's birthday with respect and feeling of love. He presented detailed information about statesman Heydar Aliyev's glorious life.

He emphasized his deep insight, knowledge, experience and vision. In his article ambassador writes about a substantial development of economic, political, social, cultural and other fields during the reign of the Azerbaijan SSR by Heydar Aliyev.

The author of the article recalled Heydar Aliyev's speech to the Azerbaijani representatives in Moscow criticizing the Soviet power for a bloody policy of January 20, 1990. In 1993, Heydar Aliyev returned to power once again under the perseverance and the desire of people, the threat of loss of independence.

After coming to power in such difficult and tense period, Heydar Aliyev's far-sighted policy, his wisdom and skill in a short period overcame all the difficulties and laid the foundation for the prosperity of the country, the diplomat's article said.

Abdullayev stressed the results of Heydar Aliyev's oil policy. As a result, Azerbaijan holds a leading position in Europe's energy security due to a network of oil and gas pipelines.

Ambassador Abdullayev abides by National Leader Heydar Aliyev's heritage. He stressed the dynamic development of the country and turning Azerbaijan into a leader in the region under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
