Heavy rains and hail are expected to in mountainous and lowlying areas of Azerbaijan in the coming days, chief hydrologist at the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry's National Hydrometeorological Department Asif Verdiyev said.

"Significant rainfall is not expected in other parts of the country, only rains in the night and morning hours," Verdiyev said.
He said daytime temperatures will reach 30-32 degrees in the Azerbaijani regions and 19-24 degrees in the mountainous areas. Baku and the Absheron peninsula will see cloudiness in the next three days. Intermittent rain is forecasted for Tuesday night.
The air temperature in the capital and on the peninsula will be 32-35 degrees in the coming days and 25-27 degrees at night.
