Employees of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC went to Georgia to participate in the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.

The train with employees will go from Marabda to Chardzma. The Georgian section of the railway is being constructed by Azerinshaatservis and LLC Demiryolservis, which participate in the project as a contractor. The train consists of 63 wagons. There are two passenger carriages for employees, a platform with a water tank, two cranes, railway cranes KDE-163, Motor platform MPD-1055, crane, excavator.
The first staff will go to Georgia May 5, 2010 to participate in the construction of the Georgian sector of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars. It is planned to construct a new 105-kilometer branch railroad as a part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. About 76 kilometers will stretch on the territory of Turkey, 29 km - Georgia. Moreover, a railway section Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi-Marabda will be reconstructed in Georgia to increase capacity up to 15 million tons of cargo a year.
