14 000 schoolers will not get certificate in Azerbaijan this year

As many as 88,815 pupils out of 92,002 (96/54%) have participated in finals this year.
74,832 of them have passed exams, Education Minister Misir Mardanov said at the press conference. He said this year’s indicator is 10% more than previous year. Mardanov said that 23,037 (99.20%) pupils from 23,222 studying in the 11th form took part in examinations in Baku. 21,441 of them successfully passed the exams.

Though 8168 pupils were expected to participate in Ganja, Mingachevir, Sumgayit cities, only 8,048 of them took part in the examinations. And 7,420 of them got good marks.

57,273 pupils from 60,152 studying in the 11th form at 59 village schools in Azerbaijan participated in examinations. 45,515 of them passed the exams. Mardanov said that 6,413 participants from 8,586 in finals were school-leavers of last year. 3,852 of them got good marks, and 2,173 got bad marks.

Handover of certificates has already been started in Baku and Sumgayit. The minister noted that about 14 000 school-leavers would not get certificate. Last year this number was 18,325.
