The Austrian Library has been opened in Baku today. "This library will play an important role in intensifying Azerbaijani-Austrian relations," Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger said at the opening ceremony.

During the ceremony, Austrian Foreign Minister met with students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages and answered their questions. Under the agreement signed between the Azerbaijan University of Languages and the Austrian Embassy, the Library will get about 3,000 books and various materials. The library staff will take a four-week practice in Vienna once a year.
At the moment Austrian libraries operate in 56 countries worldwide. Austrian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sylvia Mayer Kaybich attended the ceremony.
