Azerbaijan to realize program to alleviate poverty

In 2011, the International Fund for Agricultural Development will implement a program to alleviate poverty and ensure food security in Azerbaijan for the first time in the South Caucasus. Azerbaijani government and IFAD have built a close cooperation, Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers’ official website said.

As part of this cooperation, two major projects in agriculture, reforms in agricultural sector and privatization of land have been implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years.
