Brussels marks 92nd anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces

On the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Azerbaijan Republic's Representation to NATO and in its Military Representation of Azerbaijani Armed Forces to NATO Military Committee jointly with the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium organized an official reception in Brussels. The Representation to NATO said.

The event was attended by ambassadors of the Kingdom of Belgium and NATO, and other representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, representatives of the International Secretariat, the Military Committee and the International Military Staff of NATO, the military representatives of countries accredited to NATO's Military Committee, members of other NATO committees. Besides, the event was attended Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev, who is in Brussels and other employees of the Ministry.

After singing Azerbaijan's national anthem, head of the Azerbaijani Representation to NATO, Ambassador Kamil Khasiyev and military spokesman Major-General Hussein Mahmudov addressed at the event. Speakers informed the guests about the history and development of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO.

Within the event the exhibition "Views of modern Baku" was organized. During the exhibition, visitors were informed about the history of Baku, political and geographical importance of the city over the centuries. During the reception symphonic works of Azerbaijani composers were voiced, video materials on Azerbaijan and the country's Armed Forces were demonstrated.
