Azerbaijani MPs to raise "fire issue" at PACE session

Russian MP delivered a report “Forests: future of our planet” at the PACE summer session as Azerbaijani delegation brought up the issue of damages to flora and fauna of Azerbaijan due to Armenia`s aggression. Azerbaijani parliamentarians stated Armenia continues to set on fire the occupied Azerbaijani lands. The aggressor also uses the territories for cultivation and transit of drugs as well as financing terrorism.

MPs underlined the need for the Council of Europe to keep this issue in focus. The Bureau session discussed sub-committee on Nagorno-Karabakh. PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu provided information about the report on the sub-committee and meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations. The bureau will discuss the activity of the sub-committee at the next session.
