
The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Economic Development Ministry conducted regular monitoring of the consumer market and destroyed more than 120 kilograms of expired products, the statement said.
Monitoring were conducted in the Yasamal district of Baku, as well as Ganja, Goygol, Khachmaz and Barda cities of Azerbaijan. Expired products - meat, confectionery and bakery products, butter, milk and dairy products, beer, fruit juices, soft drinks, baby food, etc. were withdrawn.
Measures will be applied towards violators of consumer rights in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences.
