A shootout took place in one of the districts of Baku last night, Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov told journalists.

Several men opened fire from their vehicles on a Baku street last night, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry announced the names of people who opened fire, the Interior Ministry said. Violators of law and order were Anar Dadashov, Movsum Nuriyev and Parviz Tagiyev. Policemen of the Surakhani district police department found three shells at the scene.
The criminal case was filed under article 221 (hooliganism) and 228 (illegal possession of firearms) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
Interior Minister Ramil Usubov confirmed the shooting. "Last night fire was exchanged from two cars," he said. "There were no witnesses at the scene. But we have identified the perpetrators through cameras."

As wa reported later, one of the suspects, of late night shooting, Anar Dadashov was detained. Reportedly, there were 3 drivers on 3 cars, doing auto hooliganism. As of now, the police is looking for other two suspects.

According to him, a shootout occured between two men in cars. Usubov said that though there were not witnesses, the offenders had been determined by security cameras in the territory. He did not say anything about the personalities of those men.
The minister said that opening of “102” service gave positive results: “We use high-technology in fighting against crime. One of them is “102”, and another one is “Security city”. Today, recording of crimes is being carried out in Baku, Absheron. Police officers immediately react to the call. And the crimes are being solved according to this system. Now we have some high security cameras in our possession, and it helps a lot", the minister explained.
