Azerbaijani Eurovision participant graduates university with a red diploma

Thirst for knowledge and self-improvement, inculcated by parents, Aysel Teymurzadeh had since childhood. Before school Aysel studied at the ballet school and was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics.

High School star was in Baku Lyceum "Intellect". At 9 years of age, Aysel became a student of art school, participated in various exhibitions and her works were sold at auction. The singer was also a member of the school handball team.

In 2001 Aysel wins in a children's musical contest «Pohre», then goes to music school where she was being taught piano. In 2004, the singer goes to study in the United States under the FLEX program, in the Texas High School. While in the U.S., Aysel wins in three contests of young vocalists.

After returning to Azerbaijan, Aysel Teymurzadeh becomes the 7th in the popular television project «Yeni Ulduz».

In 2009, the beautiful and talented Aysel, along with singer Arash goes on to represent Azerbaijan on the Eurovision-2009 song contest, and took 3rd place. This result is, by far, the best Azerbaijan have had on Eurovision contests.

Upon graduating from the Azerbaijani University of Foreign Languages, Aysel received a red diploma, which was awarded to her by the rector of the University, Samad Seyidov.
