Belarus Embassy in Baku marks Republic Day

Speaking to the event, ambassador Nikolay Patskevich praised the Azerbaijan-Belarus relations.
“This year is especially important for our bilateral relations, which are strategic and based on mutual confidence.”

Patskevich hailed the Azerbaijani and Belarusian leaders` role in strengthening “friendly ties between our peoples”.

Azerbaijani minister of communication and information technologies Ali Abbasov delivered Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s greetings to the people of Belarus.

On the bilateral relations, Abbasov said “they have solid foundations”.

“Our peoples are bound together by ties of history.”

Abbasov also praised the presidents` role in strengthening the bilateral relations, saying “reciprocal visit by our heads of state are of great importance in this regard”.

The event was attended by state and government officials, MPs, foreign ambassadors and members of the general public.
