Azerbaijani border guards arrest 82 people on "wanted" list

The officers pretended 31 attempts to breach the state border and detained 47 people in June, The service told Trend. The officers arrested 34 Azerbaijani citizens, 7 - Georgian citizens, 4 - Iranian citizens , also one Turkish and one Bangladesh citizens.

The officers detained 66 people due to irregularities of the border regime in 30 cases. Appropriate measures were taken in regard the detainees. About 82 people were arrested and handed over to law enforcement. The officers seized 53,308 kg of narcotics as a result of the fight against drug trafficking.

In 80 cases, the officers seized in 80 cases smuggling a total value of 1,074 million manat, $100,900; 300, 000 colored 500-euro notes; 200, 039 stained 100-dollar notes, 49 mobile phones, 420 cartons of cigarettes, 780 drug drugs and medical supplies in the amount of 372 pieces; alcohol in large quantities, industrial and food products, accessories for mobile telephones, 55 small ruminants and other.
