2 245 923 square meters of territory was cleared of mines and explosives in Azerbaijan in June, 2010, press service of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) told APA.

4 372 mines and PHS were found and disarmed in this period. 21 anti-tank and anti-personnel mines were found. 425 experts and 115 assistants, as well as six mine-clearing vehicles and 30 mine-sniffing dogs were involved in the mine actions.
ANAMA cleared 135 426 941 square m so far. 618 077 mines and PHS were found and disarmed. The operations are conducted in the regions of Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Tovuz, Agjabedi, Aghstafa and Samukh, as well as in Garadagh district of Baku City.
At the request of Azneft Company, ANAMA cleared 18 146 square meter in Lokbatan and 34 714 square meter in Bibiheybat district of Baku City. The operations were conducted on the basis of international mine action standards.
BP-Azerbaijan also asked ANAMA to clear territory around Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Supsa oil and South Caucasus gas pipeline in Agstafa region. 5000 square meter of territory was cleared from unexploded mines. No PHS incidents were reported in June, 2010.
