Many people suffered sunstrokes in Baku, stats revealed

"A total of 53 individuals have suffered sunstroke in Baku over the last three day with 15 of them being hospitalized," Chief Doctor of the Central City Ambulance Station Mursal Hamidov said.

“People, mainly of 40-45 years of age and older suffered a sunstroke,” he added.

As many as 26 accidents have occurred in beaches since the beginning of the season; 10 of them were fatal, the chief doctor said.

Ten cases of non-fatal snake bite have been registered in Khazar, Surakhani and Garadagh districts of Baku, the doctor said.
