Azerbaijan's population reaches 9, 047,000

The population of Azerbaijan has reached 9,047,900 people.

According to the State Statistical Committee, 54.2% of the total population leave in cities, while 46% in towns and villages. Some 49% of the population are men, while 51% women, according to the committee.


In the first six month of 2010, 76,300 newborns, 32,600 marriages and 4,200 divorces were registered in Azerbaijan.Ministry of Interior Affairs registered 1,100 men who arrived in Azerbaijan for permanent residence.
