Azerbaijani President decrees to confer title of national hero to fallen ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov

President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order to confer a title of National Hero upon Ensign Mubariz Aghakarim Ibrahimov for his exceptional contribution and courage displayed to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Head of State also signed an order to eternize the National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov’s memory naming a secondary school and a street in Bilasuvar region after him, press office of the President said.

Azerbaijani Armed Forces ensign Ibrahimov Mubariz showed heroism in an armed incident on  the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops on June 18, killing four and wounding another four Armenian servicemen.

His body is still kept by the Armenian side.
