Special commission to be launched to ensure transparency in providing journalists with housing in Azerbaijan

A residential building will be built to improve living conditions of journalists, Head of the Azerbaijani State Fund for Support to Media Development under Azerbaijani President Vugar Safarli said.

"A special commission will be launched to ensure transparency in providing journalists with housing", Safarli said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to take measures to strengthen social protection of media workers. According to the decree, funds worth 5 million manat will be allocated to the Azerbaijani State Fund for Support to Media Development from the President's Reserve Fund to improve living conditions of media workers and to build housing for them.

Safarli said that primarily venue of the construction will be discussed with the relevant organizations.
