Azerbaijan collects 2,241,000 manat in fines for ecological offences

Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources fined legal and physical entities in the amount of 2,241,593,17 with 114,968 manat already paid off during five months of 2010,according to the Ministry. Amount of fine for enviromental damage was 633, 422,18  manat with 48,824 manat already paid off.

During this period, the fines violation of ecological legislation on effective use of water resources during this period amounted to 60,440 manat, for atmospheric pollution - 21,540 manat.

Fines for protection of land resources made up 38 836,45 manat, for protection of flora and fauna  - 1,829,411,72 and  30,680 respectively. Fines for protection of biological resources in river basins made up 2,150 manat.
