11,216 drunken drivers apprehended in Azerbaijan this year

11,216 drivers were detained for drunk driving. Administrative actions were taken towards 56,953 drivers for speeding. This year, the traffic police have registered 1,160 traffic accidents which claimed 376 lives and injured 1,204. A total of 497 traffic accidents occurred in Baku killing 162 and injuring 461.

Officers of the State Traffic Police have found seven Kalashnikov assault rifles, 3 pistols, 2 TOZ rifles, 2 hunting rifles, five grenades, 1,821 bullets of various calibre and 12 magazines. Over 44 kg of narcotic was seized.
