Fire breaks out in Talish forests in South of Azerbaijan

Fire broke out in Talish forests in Lankaran and Lerik regions, APA’s south bureau reports. The first fire was recorded in Yukhari Nuvedi and Narbagi villages of Lankaran region at 19.00 on August 3. The fire engines sent by Lankaran region Firefighting Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations prevented the spread of the fire. About 2ha of shrubbery was burnt down.

Forest fires broke out in the mountainous territories of Lankaran and Lerik regions yesterday. Firefighters of Lankaran and Lerik Firefighting Unit were involved to extinguish the fire. The fire was localized at 10.00 today. 5ha forest area burnt in Lerik, 1ha forest area in Lankaran. According to initial versions incautious use of fire caused forest fires.
