Archeologists carry out diggings of the 6th century monument in Azerbaijan

Scientists of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences jointly with specialists of Tokyo University carry out archeological digs in the ancient settlement Geytapa, the 5th-6th century BC, located in Tovuz region of Azerbaijan.

Chief of the expedition Farkhad Guliyev said Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism will start a restoration work and open a museum in Geytapa settlement.
