Azerbaijani and German cities discuss new project

On Aug. 27, Head of Administration of Sumgayit city of Azerbaijan Vagif Aliyev and the delegation of the German city of Ludwigshafen discussed a new project carried out between the two cities and exchanged views on issues of interest to both parties, Sumgayit City Administration said.

According to Aliyev, the friendly relations between the cities have been further strengthened over recent years and joint projects were beneficial to both cities.

According to him, with the participation of German experts, significant projects have been implemented in Sumgayit and events in urban development, education, health, culture and youth activities were successfully carried out in 2002-2009.

According to the head of the delegation of the Ludwigshafen city Peter Lyuben, the implementation of a new project with the support of society German Technical Assistance Society (GTZ) "Support for the development of local administration in the South Caucasus" will help to develop cooperation between eight German and South Caucasus cities.
