ADB: Water level in Caspian Sea may rise 1.5 meters

Seminar on climate change was held with the frame work of Asian Development Bank Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program in Baku. According to Peter Hayes, Senior Climate Change Specialist the temperature of the weather is forecasted to rise 3-7ํํํ° over the world, 3.5°in the Central Asia and Azerbaijan at the end of XXI centuries. At the same time the water level in Caspian Sean is expected to rise 150 cm and 88 000 ha are to remain under the water.

During the last 10 years, temperature of the weather rose 0.4-0.9° in Azerbaijan. Note that the purpose of the seminar is to increase the knowledges of specialists in this sphere. Besides, presentations on Science and Influence and Economic Influence were held at the event.
