The Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM) hosted Monday a roundtable meeting on “Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan: bilateral relations and regional ties”.

Addressing the event director of the Kazakh Institute for Strategic Studies Bulat Sultanov highlighted the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in political, economic and trade spheres. He said Kazakhstan attaches great importance to development of cooperation with Azerbaijan. He added the two countries had great potential to boost the bilateral ties.
Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Sultanov said his country, as a President of OSCE, would spare no efforts to contribute to settling the frozen conflicts in the region through peaceful negotiations. He also underlined the necessity of settlement of the problem on the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
Kazakh ambassador to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov also spoke in the event who praised the current level of cooperation between the two countries. The event was attended by officials of the Foreign Ministry, MPs, ambassadors and experts on regional and international relations.
