New surveillance cameras to be installed in Baku Metro

Head of Baku Metro says new special surveillance cameras will be bought for the subway. Video cameras will be installed at exit and entrances of the Baku Metro by the yearend, Tagi Ahmadov said.

These cameras will enable to identify wanted persons and calculate the number of passengers who daily use the subway, or leave it on a particular station, Ahmadov added.

“A deal on delivery of the video cameras will be signed till September 18. We have a chance to choose between a local and foreign supplier. We have not made a final decision yet. We need to go through some details,” Ahmadov explained.
