ICRC representatives visit Azerbaijani soldiers in Armenian captivity

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with the Azerbaijani soldiers in Armenian captivity, spokeswoman for the ICRC Office in Baku Ilaha Huseynova said.

ICRC representatives in Armenia visited sergeants of the Azerbaijani Army Roman Huseynov, 25 and Anar Hajiyev, 2. Huseynova didn’t give details about the meeting, but said that ICRC officers didn’t meet with the third Azerbaijani citizen captured by the Armenians – Eldar Tagiyev.

Roman Huseynov was captured by the Armenian armed forces on August 27, 2010 and Anar Hajiyev – on May 10, 2009.

Azerbaijani citizen Eldar Tagiyev, 47 came under fires and then captured by the Armenians on December 28, 2009 near the contact line toward Alibeyli village of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region.

Armenians still havent returned bodies of the two Azerbaijani servicemen – National Hero of Azerbaijan, ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov and Farid Ahmadov.
