A blast occurred at a filling station in Azerbaijan's Lankaran region.

The incident was recorded today in the morning hours at “Diqaz” filling station located on the side of Alat-Astara road, Digah village. In one of tanks occurred fire while fueling from “KamAZ” truck and it blasted. Expansion of fire caused the blast of two other tanks. Lankaran city resident, Teymur Alimusa Aliverdiyev, born in 1968, residents of Lankaran’s Jil village – Firdovsi Balakhan Akbarov, born in 1964 and Izzat Gudrat Rufullayev, born in 1966 were injured during the blast. They were taken to Lankaran Central Region Hospital. The hospital told APA that two of the injured would be taken to Baku because of their condition.
Note that, KamAZ fell to pieces during blast and damaged walls, roofs and windows of the houses nearby. Rescuers and firefighting brigades of the South Regional Department of Ministry of Emergency Situations have been involved in taking security measures. Alat-Astara highway has been closed for an hour. Currently, the fire has been prevented totally and investigations are underway on the incident.
