
Bilgah beach will be cleaned from litter and debris by volunteers, Coca-Cola employees, and their family members on September 25. The ecological initiative aimed to clean Bilgah beach will be held within the framework of the 25th Anniversary of Annual International Coast Cleanup (ICC) initiative of Ocean Conservancy that globally support by The Coca-Cola Company.
The ICC is The Coca-Cola Company’s premier litter abatement partnership and the world's largest single-day volunteer effort to eradicate litter and debris from beaches, inland waterways and oceans.
Commenting on this initiative Environment & OSH Representative of Coca-Cola Company, Emin Dostiyari said: “We are urging all people wishing to make their contribution in cleaning Caspian seaside to come and to participate in this event. It is not just about cleaning seaside, it is also about valuing the natural environment and changing behavior causing pollution”.
The event will be held on Bilgah beach on September 25, 2010 under the slogan “Pick It Up, Clean It Up. Sea Change”.
The participants will be provided with transport means, branded T-shirts, as well as cold beverages, lunch, and clean up items by Coca-Cola. The event will be also supported by American Alumni Association (AAA), “Dayirman” Productions, RED Communications PR & BTL Agency, Green Bicyclists Club.
