More expired products destroyed in Azerbaijan

Some 229 kilograms of expired food products has been seized and destroyed by the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during regular monitoring of the consumer market, the ministry said.

Inspections were conducted in the Yasamal, Sabunchu (Bakikhanov settlement), Surakhani and Narimanov districts of Baku, in the Agdam region, as well as in the Gusar, Balaken and Beylagan cities.

Expired sausages, pastry, butter, milk and dairy products, flour products, canned foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, baby food were confiscated. Administrative measures will be applied against physical and legal entities found violating consumers' rights.
