Adoption of World Anti-Doping Code discussed in Baku

Adoption of the World Anti-Doping Code was discussed at 18th informal conference of European countries' sports ministers in Baku.

"In the last two years case of using doping increased in Europe," the World Anti-Doping Organization's representative Jaime Lissavetzky told journalists Sept.22.

According to him, in this regard it is planned to adopt the World Anti-Doping Code. Lissavetzky noted that the Council of Europe, UNESCO and World Anti-Doping Organization should join their efforts in fighting doping. This can be done only due to joint efforts.

The 18th informal conference of the European countries' sports ministers ended in Baku Sept.22. The conference, which takes place every two years, was attended by representatives of 36 European countries.
