Azerbaijan's Defense Industry Ministry has reached an agreement on mutual cooperation with the foreign companies.

and heads of delegations of Belarus, Turkey and India as part of the exhibition of the defense industry products in South Africa, the
ministry said.
The goods of Azerbaijani Defence Industry were demonstrated at an
international exhibition "AAD-Afrika Aerospace Defence-2010" in the city
of Cape Town (South Africa) on September 21-25.
Sixty seven defense goods manufactured by the ministry
enterprises were demonstrated at the exhibition, which brought together leading
companies worldwide. This includes small arms,
ammunition of various calibers, mines of all sizes, rockets and boards of
different layers used in electronic industry. The exhibition also
demonstrated armored vehicles such as "Matador" and "Marauder", jointly
produced by Azerbaijan and the Republic of South Africa.
The Azerbaijani military products aroused great interest at the
exhibition, which was attended by 323 leading companies from 36
countries, including the U.S, China, Turkey and South
Africa that are leading manufacturers of arms. The foreign countries
participating in the exhibition paid a special attention to the sniper
rifle "Istiqlal" with the caliber of 12.7 and 14.5 mm.
The sniper rifle "Istiqlal" also caused great interest in the exhibition
"İDEF - 2009", held in Turkey, as well as the exhibition "SOFEX - 2010"
held in Jordan.
On Sept. 25, the exhibition was declared open for visitors
who were very interested in the stand of Azerbaijan.
