Azerbaijan plans to send three more groups of managers to train in Germany in 2011 as part of a bilateral Azerbaijani-German program for further training in business management, Akif Farrukhov, the director of the Baku Business Education Center, said.

"Two groups of managers will participate in training courses to improve skills in English. A course will be organized for one group of managers in the agricultural business in Russian," Farrukhov said.
A workshop was held in Baku on Tuesday to evaluate the effectiveness of raising the skill level of 16 young Azerbaijani managers trained in Germany in 2009. The program is part of a Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in 2009.
Zaur Gasimov, Head of Department for Entrepreneurship Development Policy under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development said that the program is of great importance to expand economic ties between the two countries, relations between entrepreneurs of both countries, as well as for Azerbaijani managers to familiarize to learn international experience in leading German companies.
More than 16 Azerbaijani managers participated in training courses held in Germany in October-November 2009 and 20 managers in June-July 2010. Germany is implementing such programs in cooperation with 13 countries.
