Azerbaijani MP initiates blood donation campaign

A donor campaign will be held upon the initiative of the chairman of the Azerbaijani Republican Children's Organization, MP Guler Ahmadova, to support the project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation aimed to help children suffering from thalassemia.

Ahmadova called on the representatives of the Republican Children's Organization, State Committee for Land and Cartography, International Centre for Diaspora and the Police Departments of the Yasamal and Nizami districts, state agencies and private companies to join the action.

She also encouraged all citizens to participate in the action. The donor action will be held in the building of the Scientific-Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on Thursday.
