Roughly 16 children died, 54 injured in Baku

Over 64 traffic accidents were registered in Baku for the first nine months of this year. Roughly 16 children died, 54 injured in the accidents registered during this period, Jamshid Hanifayev, Head of Public Relations Department of Baku Traffic Police Office, told Trend.

Hanifayev said that most accidents with children were registered in the Narimanov district of Baku (10 accidents - 2 died, 9 injured), Surakhani (10 acidents - 2 died, 11 injured), Binagadi (9 accidents - one died, 8 injured), Nizami (8 accidents - one died, 9 injured).

6 accidents occurred in Sabail and Khazar districts, 5 - in Khatai, 3 - in Yasamal, 4 - in Sabunchi, 3 - in Garadagh. Children were injured in these accidents. No accidents were registered in Nasimi district of Baku.

The actions on the month of security are being held in the capital "Attention, children", started on September 15, this year. These actions will end on October 15, Hanifayev said.
