Relatives of women who died during surgery beat doctor in Azerbaijan

Two patients have died during surgery in the Central Regional Hospital of Azerbaijan’s Agdam region. One of the patients Akbar Safarov, 55, resident of Guzanli village, died on the operating table during a surgery to remove his gall bladder.

Another patient who did not survive the surgery was a woman, resident of Otuzillikler village of Barda region. In a protest, relatives of the dead woman staged a brawl in the hospital and caused injury to anesthetist Mehman Babayev.

The sources in the hospital refused to comment on the facts. The region's police department said it has not received any complaint on the issue.
