
Some 340 kg of expired food products has been seized and destroyed by the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during regular monitoring of the consumer market, the ministry said.
Inspections were conducted in the Nizami, Sabail and Yasamal districts of Baku, as well as in the Guba, Agdam and Shamkir regions and Tovuz city.
Expired sausages, pastry, butter, milk and dairy products, canned foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer were confiscated. Administrative measures will be applied against physical and legal entities found violating consumers' rights.
