Azerbaijani Parliament raises human rights commissioner's salary

The Azerbaijani Parliament has today raised the salary of Ombudsman, country's human rights commissioner. The Parliament's session today discussed a draft on amending the Constitutional Law "On the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Azerbaijani Republic". The draft envisages increasing ombudsman's monthly salary from 1,320 to 1,800 manat. The Parliament adopted the amendment to the Constitutional Law.
