Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism Abulfas Garayev held a meeting with Uzbek filmmakers.

The delegation of Uzbek filmmakers comprised Jahangir Kasimov, Deputy Director General of the National agency Uzbekkino, People`s artist of Uzbekistan Ulmas Alihojayev, film directors Kamara Kamalova and Mansur Abdukhalikov. They are in Baku to take part in Uzbek Cinema Days which kicked off Monday.
The minister said the Days of Azerbaijani Culture were recently held in Uzbekistan. He said also the Azerbaijan Culture Center opened in Tashkent in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s decree.
This is a first Azerbaijani culture center abroad, the first one operates in Paris, according to the minister. The minister also highlighted the current steps towards developing the Azerbaijani cinema.
The inauguration of the Uzbek Cinema Days will take place at the Theater of Young Spectators in Baku. On October 26 Uzbek guests will visit the Azerbaijan State Culture and Arts University, Azerbaijanfilm studio, Icherishekher (the Inner City), Modern Arts Museum, and a monument to outstanding Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi. On October 27 Uzbek cinematographers will make a trip to Ismayilly region of Azerbaijan.
