8.6 million mobile phone numbers being used in Azerbaijan

As of October, there were 8.6 million mobile phone numbers being used in Azerbaijan, a rise of 16.6% from the same period last year, State Statistics Committee Chief Arif Valiyev said at a press conference today.

“During the first 9 months of 2010, communication operators offered services worth 832 million manat to population and businesses, a rise of 33.4% from the same period last year. A total of 67.8% of total profits accounts for mobile communication,” Valiyev added.
