Baku hosts 'roundtable' on role of parliament in developing civil society

Organized by the Eurasia Research Center, the event was addressed by Chief of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration`s socio-political department Ali Hasanov and head of the Russian Presidential Administration`s Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations Sergey Vinokurov and others.

They praised the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. They said reciprocal visits by the two countries` presidents, meetings held and numerous documents signed contribute to boosting bilateral comprehensive relations.

The speakers underlined the role of parliament in developing democracy and civil society in both countries. The roundtable will culminate in the adoption of a declaration.
